THE LAST REFLECTION

THE ARTIFACT

Along the wet stone edges of the southern Appalachians, survival often depends on remaining unseen. A salamander rests within the dark seam of the rock, its markings broken apart by moss, water, shadow, and mineral stain.

Field Note No. 084 records a species shaped by concealment and a landscape altered by water, erosion, and loss. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the image becomes more than a study of camouflage. It is a record of fragility, persistence, and the habitats that hold life quietly in place.

Some species survive by disappearing into the world around them.

THE GARMENT

Printed as a full-color archival back graphic on a premium garment-dyed heavyweight black tee. A green Appalachian salamander emerges from wet rock and shadow, surrounded by muted topographic lines, field annotations, weathered copper details, and moss-toned geological texture.

The dark composition, softened edges, and aged archival markings create the appearance of a recovered regional field plate while allowing the salamander to remain the emotional focal point.

Designed with a relaxed unisex fit and a substantial, lived-in feel.
