THE ARTIFACT

A tree records its life in circles. Each season leaves a band of growth shaped by rain, drought, damage, recovery, and time. Long after the canopy is gone, the pattern remains.

Field Note No. 082 examines a recovered cross-section where growth rings, decay pathways, and pale fungal traces overlap. The specimen no longer holds a living tree, but it still contains the evidence of one—an archive built outward from a single point of origin.

What appears weathered is still remembering.

THE GARMENT

Printed as a full-color archival back graphic on a premium garment-dyed heavyweight black tee. A detailed tree cross-section forms the central specimen, surrounded by ring studies, measurement marks, field labels, and weathered archival notes in muted bark brown, sand, taupe, pale lichen, copper, and charcoal.

The layered circular structure, softened edges, and aged scientific details give the artwork the appearance of a recovered dendrology plate while preserving the tree-ring archive as the dominant focal point.

Designed with a relaxed unisex fit and a substantial, lived-in feel.
